School's out. What did you expect?
S.M. Sterling Island in the Sea of Time and Marching through Georgia are the starts of two great Alternate history series. http://smstirling.com/books/
Harry Turtledove is also excellent. My favorite is Guns of the South. the WorldWar series imagines alien landing during WWII. It's actually really, really good. Days of Infamy takes the position that Japan capture Hawaii.
Those are the ones I've read. Here is his wiki page for a complete list. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Turtledove

1632 and 1633 were fun reads.
I'm reading the Codex Alera series by Jim Butcher. Once I plow through that, i'm hitting 1632.

It is on the whole probable that we continually dream, but that consciousness makes such a noise that we do not hear it. Carl Jung.
There's a guy I've gotten to know over the years named Hugh Ashton, an ex-pat Brit living in Japan. He's written prolifically including several volumes of Sherlock Holmes stories using the characters with the blessings of the Conan Doyle Estate. He's written a couple of alternate histories; one set in pre-revolutionary Russia and another set pre-World War II involving the Confederacy and Germany. He's also written a Sci-Fi book called The Untime, and a couple of thrillers. Here's a link to his bibliography.
