Nice of Wisconsin to give the game away to Notre Dame.

He's my favorite player in a long time. Maybe ever.

It would have been almost criminal for Hield to have missed playing in the final four. Also happy for Lon Krueger, a much underrated coach, and for fellow Redzoner Edskin, who, if I'm not mistaken, is an OU grad.

Nova and Oklahoma move on. In fairness, they were both essentially 1A seeds. I know Nova was #1 for a while this year, and I think Oklahoma was, too (certainly #2).

Agreed, anyone named after the illustrious character Bud Bundy deserves to play in the Final Four, imo.

Hell of a nightcap tonight, how about Villanova sending the Jayhawks home?

And yet, strangely enough, the best of the two seeds (Mich St.), didn't make it out of the first round. Goofy tournament and love it.

Michigan State obviously wasn't the best of the two seeds. I think Oklahoma was by far and away the best of the two seeds all year long. I'll be shocked if anyone other than them or UNC wins the championship.

But many, given recent NCAA tourney success, picked the Spartans to go to the Final Four. Oklahoma advancing to the Final Four is less of a surprise, as many expected Oregon and Virginia to be the least likely of the #1s to make it to Houston. Conversely, many expected Villanova to choke, and viewed Kansas to be a safe bet to reach the Final Four.

Moving forward - and I hope that I'm dead wrong - but I don't see Sunday's Elite 8 games as competitive at all. We shall see.

Yeah, Notre Dame and Syracuse are not very good. Not for the Elite Eight.

Oklahoma faded quite a bit down the stretch. I actually thought WVU would leap them for the two seed after knocking them out in the tournament. I'm surprised they rebounded as quickly as they did.

Anyone but Daggum Roy and the fake college classes is all I ask.

Funny you should say that, as you sound just like the UK fan in a "spirited" debate with a UNC fan on another message board that I viewed yesterday. Was it a general College B-Ball board? A UK or UNC board?

No, it was actually an IU board.

    Yuck!

Definitely rooting for the Villanova/Oklahoma winner to win it all now.

Totally agree with you on Lon. That guy wins where ever he has been at this level. K-State, Florida, Illinois, UNLV, and now OU. Evidently that guy knows what he is doing.

He would have been much better known if he had stayed in one place for a substanial amount of time. His moving around so much has made Larry Brown seem stationary.
