Specifically, no, but the opioid problem isn't being solved by the refusal by many (driven by legal issues) to prescribe. I'm not even sure it's being helped. We've gone from an over-awareness of pain that encouraged doctors to prescribe whatever their patients want to a reluctance to the point of cruelty. There are many who actually need opioids to function (I'm happy not to be one of them).
