To be honest, I've become a bit of a purist myself in the last few years. I don't love matches that are long just for the sake of it (if Austin and Rock only needed 25 why do you need 30+?), the way finishers get spammed, and how small wrestlers are compared to yesteryear. But I can go back on the Network and watch that stuff that I really liked, while AEW gives me a modern take on wrestling that treats me with respect as a fan.

And it does seem like they're starting to add some big boys. Jeff Cobb served as monster of the week. Lance Archer is coming in, Luke Harper might follow soon behind, and Brian Cage when he's healthy could be Jacksonville bound. I wasn't sold on Darby Allin at first but I've become a big fan despite his size. Marko Stunt though, I wish they didn't have him wrestling.
Harper is set to debut March 18th that gives AEW a nice solid core to build off of...

My daughter was insta-down with Darby Allin. My guess is he registers quite well with the younger XX demographic.

He seems to have the old Jeff Hardy demographic locked down for sure.

Did I see you on TV last night, brother Servo? I saw a good brother in a Reds shirt marking out during a crowd shot. Hope you had a blast, the tag title match was out of this world.

haha no that wasn’t me but I did see that guy and think some of my online friends might think it was me. There was another with a Reds hat, so our team was well represented.

Yeah it was a fun show and that Tag Title match was insane. Honestly the crowd was still in the show till the end but that match just emotionally drained us, it was fantastic.

Tom, was that the ppv with the PAC/Orange Cassidy match? I saw that on youtube. I'm a huge mark for Freshly Squeezed and PAC.

    Also has anyone seen this?

Yup, OC was insanely over with the crowd.

He's maybe the most over wrestler on the planet right now. Cassidy's come a long from his Fire Ant days in The Colony.

AEW has been a master-class in how they've utilized the various parts of their roster, OC being the top example.

He's a guy who had a gimmick that worked great on the indies because you didn't see him wrestle week after week and could be used sparingly as a comedy relief act. It would've been easy to see him get overexposed on a weekly television show and/or make the product look ridiculous. Instead, they use him as a quasi-manager figure -- let his character continue to get over organically, and wait to have a match until nearly 5 months into his run. And now, they've established he can *go* when he feels like it.

They're operating next-level right now, especially compared to the clown show on Mondays and Fridays.

RAW is currently un-watchable. AEW only a little better as they've had wrestlers as the audience until last Wednesday.

I wish Vince would just show a "best of Raw/Smackdown" and postpone Mania to the summer. You won't make any stars if their "big win" comes before 0 fans.

Anyone watching Dark Side of the Ring? I've seen the Brawl for All and heard the Owen Hart one is really hard to watch.

indirectly related....was listening to The Undertaker on Bill Simmons podcast, and "Undertaker: The Last Ride" sounded interesting

I have seen them all except for the Owen Hart one (I have it on my recorded list but have not watched yet). It's a great show.

Brodie Lee dead at just 41 due to a lung issue, according to his wife. Awful.
