Wouldn't mind Drew Mendoza, Matt Krook or even Kyle Funkhouser, actually.
Also CJ Chatham, Nick Banks, and/or a high upside HS OF or HS pitcher.
Go BLUE!!!
Jared Horn (seeing Twitter rumors that he's going to school)
Jesus Luzardo
Corbin Burnes
Jon Duplantier
Jameson Fisher
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
With us picking two college guys in the top two rounds, we've got to still have some good money to play with, right?
Tyler Mondile a HS pitcher from NJ
Drew Mendoza?
In not particular order:
Austin Hays, OF, Jacksonville U.
Nonie Williams, SS/3B, Turner HS (KS)
Dustin May, RHP, Northwest HS (TX)
Connor Capel, OF, Seven Lakes HS (TX)
Erik Miller, LHP, De Smet Jesuit HS (MO)
I'm not a system player. I am a system.
Williams is a switch-hitter and I like his swing from both sides of the plate. Can he stick at SS or will he move to 2B or the OF (3B is taken)?
Won't guess on names, but I will take a WAG at what kind of players the Reds take with their eight picks in rounds 3-10 tomorrow (in no particular order).
2 Bats (an OF & a MI)
2 High School Starters (at least one with a signability challenge)
2 College Starters (would not be shocked if one is Funkhouser)
2 College Closers (unlike past seasons they won't take them looking to stretch them into starters - because of the BP problems in Cincy, they'll look for guys who can possibly rise quickly through the ranks an help sooner rather than later).
Gotta be Mendoza. With the next pick any of Banks, Hays, Wilson or Burnes would be good with me
...who have never been in my kitchen.
I often wonder what your kitchen looks like, Mem.
I'll bet it's immaculate.

Not the expert here, but I'll throw out 2.
Heath Quinn OF Samford- The list of hard throwing pitchers and slick fielding gloves seems endless and the list of legit power bats seems almost non-existent. Quinn had 21 HRs last year and already looks like he has the size and strength to be a corner OF hitter.
Jesus Luzardo- I'm as scared as the next guy about TJ, but the timing works for me. I don't really care that any pitcher we sign turn around and throw more innings for us this season in pro ball. Especially the pitchers have already been through what their body is used to. If he's ready anywhere close to the beginning of next year's minors season, I don't think you've lost much of anything.
