    Stranger Things

    Fun romp through childhood.

Love the classic horror trope references.

    Anyone else see it?

Loved literally everything about Stranger Things. It was a binge on nostalgia and so awesome.

Lots of interesting theories on El and the demogorgon, but I hope the writers can back it up in s2.

Best show of the summer by a large margin imo.

There are some comments over on the TV thread as well. I thought it was great. It wasn't just nostalgia; the writing was pretty good as well. I just hope that it's able to develop without getting weighed down by its own mythology.

btw, one connection that I have heard alluded to but didn't catch was a comparison of Winona Ryder's character with Richard Dreyfuss in Close Encounters. Also interesting that she brought in the idea for her hair, which was modeled on Karen Silkwood.
It is on the whole probable that we continually dream, but that consciousness makes such a noise that we do not hear it. Carl Jung.
