    2016 NFL Fantasy Football

I'm drafting a team on ESPN this evening and I have had no time to really look at anything. I'm drafting 8th which is usually a bad spot for me (I struggle when I have to react rather than making others react). Standard ESPN scoring any suggestions on what to watch for?

I had a draft last night and got stuck at QB too. Every time it was coming around to me, it seemed like there was a run on QBs. I'm very excited about putting my season in Jay Cutler's hands...

Mines a 10 team league and I only went with Mariotta and Bradford late because I kept seeing guys I liked at other positions. QBs went heavy late. Only like 5 team out of 10 took a qb before like Rd 12. And one ended up taking Carr AND Rodgers. I nearly won one league last year bouncing around matchups so I thought I'd try it again. LOL.

Yea I'm going to have to skip around quite a bit with QBs. I'm probably going to end up dropping Cutler before week 1 since they play the Texans

That's a pretty good looking roster you got there. A 1-2 punch of Gurley and Robinson would make me drool.

Was the fourth round too high for Demarius? That and the Matthews pick were the only places that I really was questioning myself.

You should have taken a QB instead of Maclin. You can wait on QB but you should start looking at round 4 or 5.

Or even taking one instead of Demaryius Thomas.

In a 10 team league you have got to be way behind the pack at QB.

Our league gives bonus for long tds and I thought with that might make it worth waiting. Scoring last year Cam average: 23.4, Mariotta 16.4.

I thought it was better to dance at qb and load up with as many RBs and Wrs as I could. James is a prayer that he becomes Ben's security blanket (when he isn't throwing it to AB) like Heath Miller was.

    Re: 2016 NFL Fantasy Football

Recognizing the premise that nobody cares about anyone's fantasy team but their own, here's mine anyway. As mentioned in another thread, our league has two keepers in a non-PPR format. The starting lineup is ONE RB, two WR, and two FLEX (RB, WR, TE). I had the 5th pick in the 10-team snake draft. Below, I've treated the keepers from last year's roster as if they were the first two draft picks. Fire away!

    1st round - #5 overall – Adrian Peterson - Min RB
    2nd - #15 – Amari Cooper - Oak WR
    3rd - #25 – A.J. Green - Cin WR
    4th - #36 – Sammy Watkins - Buf WR
    5th - #45 – Carlos Hyde - SF RB
    6th - #56 – Eric Decker - NYJ WR
    7th - #65 – Latavius Murray - Oak RB
    8th - #76 – Julius Thomas - Jax TE
    9th - #85 – Derrick Henry - Ten RB
    10th - #96 – Tyrod Taylor - Buf QB
    11th - #105 – Kevin White - Chi WR
    12th - #116 – Charles Sims - TB RB
    13th - #125 – Martellus Bennett - NE TE
    14th - #136 – Philip Dorsett - Ind WR
    15th - #145 – Jameis Winston - TB QB
    16th - #156 – Patriots D/ST
    17th - #165 – Graham Gano - Car K

I draft #5 in my league, and when I mock, I end up with a lot of those guys.

I was pretty happy with the results. A little squeamish after the Carlos Hyde pick, but otherwise satisfied. Excited to get A.J. Green in the de facto 3rd round.

    Re: 2016 NFL Fantasy Football

    10-team league:
    1. Todd Gurley - I'm expecting a big year
    2. Cam Newton - This league's weighted more favorably toward QBs
    3. Sammy Watkins - Still has some undiscovered upside imo
    4. Thomas Rawls - Huge mystery, but I think he's the real deal
    5. Julian Edelman - Here's hoping he avoids injury ...
    6. Jordan Matthews - I was just happy to get a team's #1 receiver in the 6th round
    7. Kelvin Benjamin - Looked like a budding star pre-injury
    8. Chris Ivory - To get a 1,000 yard rusher from last season in the 8th round was surprising
    9. Josh Gordon - This is hopefully one of the steals of the draft
    10. Tyler Eifert - See: Edelman, Julian
    11. Tevin Coleman - I was hoping to get Devonta Freeman earlier in the draft, but this is my consolation prize
    12. Dwayne Allen - I just needed a tight end for a few games while Eifert heals up
    13. Steven Hauschka - 2nd most valuable kicker in the NFL this season imo
    14. Breshad Perriman - I ran out of time and needed to pick somebody
    15. Rams defense - The 49ers QB situation looks shaky; I'll have a different defense next week
