Last Reds game I went to the moron in front of me in the OF kept calling him Yorman Thomas...even though the stadium PA guy kept pronouncing it correctly.

He about gave me a stroke.

Life eventually makes us all realists. It took him a little longer.

I think I've said this before here, but my 3rd and 4th grade teacher was friends with him. I have no idea why I remember that.

My parents use to hang out with my teacher and her husband. So my parents are one couple removed from Gorman Thomas.

I'm quite jealous. My aunt was best friends with Jeff Montgomery's sister.

During my elementary school days the cook was the daughter of Pat Duncan.

Raffy Lopez makes his Reds debut, rocking the #61 made famous by Bronson Arroyo and most recently worn by Tim "Don't call me Ishmael" Melville.

Called strike one to Peraza was several feet outside the zone according to Gameday, guess the umps just want to move this one along.

Pat Duncan was born and raised 3 miles from me in tiny Coalton Ohio (also just 3 miles from where Jeff Montgomery was raised in Wellston Ohio)...Duncan also shares Coalton with the guy who does the Wooo chant late in games at GABP

I attend the same church with former Rockies pitcher Kevin Ritz, and a friend of mine is friends with former Pirates coach Rich Donnelly. So my connection number is 2, 3, or 4 with just about everyone in MLB.
