Speaking of which, when are you taking Dr. Phil to court for trademark infringement?

Today we were reminded that pitching is everything in this game of baseball. We ran out Bailey, and then Smith, Ohlendorf, and Diaz give up 12 hits and 7 runs Those three should be on the farm somewhere.

9 of his 17 earned runs have come in these last two starts where is mostly just throwing BP fastballs. The numbers really don't matter, it's that he feels healthy and can get to a place where the velocity is back consistently.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Sore bicep according to Bryan. Don't know if that's typical for TJ patients or something to worry about.

Yeah, it's expected he bad bad this year. The key is him getting through the year healthy and building strength so he's ready to go next year.

Yeah, well I'm not greatly sure that is happening.

Bailey needs to be sat down. He just doesn't have his fast ball and until that returns there is no use in running him out there every 5th day. The other three relievers should be released on September 1. Bring up three from the minors and see what they can do. They certainly could not do worse.

Also the Reds should be embarrassed by the catching situation. They have minor league fodder now playing that position. No excuse for that. Another lack of really caring by this organization.
