Cant believe the number of people thinking Kirby Smart and Georgia have no chance against North Carolina.

"This isn’t stats vs scouts - this is stats and scouts working together, building an organization that blends the best of both worlds. This is the blueprint for how a baseball organization should be run. And, whether the baseball men of the 20th century like it or not, this is where baseball is going."---Dave Cameron, U.S.S. Mariner
SEC definitely has some great teams at the top, as they usually do, but man, Vandy and South Carolina are dreadful right now. Hopefully South Carolina gets back to being a formidable team. It is fun when the winner of the SEC West has an actual tough game in the conference championship.
South Carolina will be pining for the days of Brad Scott by the time Muschamp is done with them.
Go Gators!
Is it next year when Tennessee is supposed to be good?
Every year is next year with Tennessee.
Butch has done an amazing job recruiting in Knoxville, just can't coach them up. Add in Tennessee would likely still be on the hook for Dooley and Fulmer and it's hard to imagine them doing much better in a coaching search.

Way too early to write Tennessee off. It's only one game
Its way too early not to say that UT has ALOT it needs to actually prove.

Could be, but first game struggles are usually an indicator of something big. I would use the UAB triple overtime game for Tennessee as a reference, but Dooley already had one foot in the grave losing to Kentucky.
I keep thinking back to Jokers second year at Kentucky and all of the hype heading into that season. Western Kentucky in Nashville on a Thursday night. Kentucky won the game but it wasn't decided until the fourth quarter and they looked horrible doing it. The only highlight of that season was the win against Tennessee mentioned earlier but it was obvious from that game Joker was in over his head.

Oh man, Mississippi State nearly escaped but missed the FG off the post. Loss to South Alabama.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Mullen is a perfect example of overstaying your stay. One time he was a hot commodity.
