I believe it'll be Tim Adleman (today), Josh Smith (Tuesday) and Robert Stephenson (Wednesday) against the best team in the majors.
    C. Trent Rosecrans ‏@ctrent 1h1 hour ago Cincinnati, OH
Josh Smith to start for Reds on Tuesday, but will likely be a bullpen day, Price insinuated on Sunday

    #Cubs lineup
    CF Fowler
    3B Bryant
    1B Rizzo
    2B Zobrist
    SS Russell
    RF Heyward

Is Irrabarren making a case for a bench spot next season? I know nothing about him pre-'16....has he always hit?

Not especially, hit just .256/.324/.305 last year in about the same number of ABs as this year as he benefitted from a really, really high BABIP in 2016.

He's a good story, but I'm not expecting much moving forward. I don't see him as being especially better than Ivan De Jesus and Kris Negron. He should have to compete in 2017 for a job like everyone else.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Yeah, guys like Irrabarren and Selsky are the type you keep in AAA for emergency call-ups.

Thom, let me stop you right there my man.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Any word on why Votto was walking backwards to the dugout after his last AB? Looked like someone on that side of the field for the Cubs said something he didn't like at all

Votto got a foul ball and tossed it to a hot girl in the stands. I fear he's lost his focus.
