I'd much rather see Kivlehan in the lineup than Irribarren and Renda.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

I'll take "Things I Never Want to See Mentioned Again after This Year" for $500 Alex.

Why are Cubs broadcasters trying to big up one of the worst hitters in the MLB this year in Heyward? All I hear is how good he can be when he has been totally garbage all year.

Last night was the last game of the season as far as I was concerned. Glad Votto is ok.

Kudos to Jay: Guess he's just a big time streak hitter no matter what the circumstances. Significant that he didn't get down on himself .

Patrick Kivlehan makes his Reds debut, sporting the #67 previously worn by Felix Rodriguez, and most recently worn by Ramon Cabrera.

207-277. Five Reds teams in the last 30 years have failed to win 70 games in the last 30 years. The Bryan Price era has produced two of them. Along with his first year at 76-86. I shake my head. Looking for more in 2017. I guess that's the Reds motto.

191 losses (and counting) in the last two years.

So they have won only 16 more games in the last three years than they have lost in the last two.

Gospel. But it never stops the Price supporters to shun win-loss record or fail to tell us of the injuries or how that a 93-69 team went to three seasons of losing baseball. Yes they traded Frazier, Cueto, Leake, and Chapman, but gained a 100 RBI man in Adam Duvall and brought up pitchers not ready for prime time while Hoover was our closer and Marquis and others were going to do well--fully endorsed by the manager. If he didn't have a choice, then he has no fortitude. If he had a clue, he would have won 10 more games each season. He didn't. I like the Cubs comparison. Yes, they spent a lot of money, but they hired a tremendous manager and a great GM. We hired Bryan Price just like we hired Bob Boone, Dave Miley and Jerry Narron. Nothing has changed since the lost decade. I guess we just have to accept what it is. We've gone from 2.4 million in attendance to 1.8 million. Just like when Carl was in charge. Rebuild if you must but put a real leader in charge. The Reds didn't. It's business as usual, folks.
