From my viewpoint (eyeballs watching him hit) his refusal to strikeout has nicely worked out for him with a lot of strange looking bloops, seeing eye singles and 3 hoppers past the corner IF guys...a.k.a more impressive that he didn't whiff than the hit he obtained. He was right with Duvall, Suarez and way ahead of Bruce on strikeouts....but he just went into the screw striking out mode and needless to say the numbers approve of his ways.
