I suspect he'll move up with Senzel and company. Jagielo stalling last season in AA means he repeats. And LaValley is young enough to be given 100 - 300 ABs in High A and still make up the ABs in AA as the season wears on.

For those trying to get an idea of what the Pensacola roster will look like, most of these guys will likely be there:

    C Joe Hudson
    1B Eric Jagielo
    2B Alex Blandino
    3B Taylor Sparks
    SS Calten Daal
    LF Angelo Gumbs
    CF Leon Landry
    RF Aristides Aquino
    C Adrian Nieto
    C Shawn Zarraga
    3B Tanner Rahier
IF Zach Walters (Shouldn't he be headed to Louisville? Or was he released?)
    IF Josh VanMeter
    IF Blake Trahan
    OF Gabby Guerrero
    1B/OF Brian O'Grady
    OF Zach Shields

    SP Luis Castillo
    SP Keury Mella
    SP Tyler Mahle
    SP Deck McGuire
    SP Seth Varner
    SP Wyatt Strahan
    RP/SP Ismael Guillon
    RP Jimmy Herget
    RP Brennan Bernardino
    RP Nolan Becker
    RP Ariel Hernandez
    RP Austin Ross
    RP Domingo Tapia
    RP Nefi Ogando
    RP Jake Ehret
    RP Carlos Gonzalez
    RP Andrew McKirahan
    RP Carlos Portuondo
    RP Alex Powers

    DL
    SP Tejay Antone
    SP Nick Travieso
RP Zack Weiss (or is he recovered yet?)

How many guys are on AA rosters? I take it that the number is more than 25

Nope, 25. I imagine injuries, cuts, last-minute promotions/demotions, etc. will decide who ends up in Pensacola. I could see up to a dozen of these guys (Rahier, Portuondo, et al) could be getting their release papers soon.

Guys like Walters could possibly be starting in "Billings", which is where guys who shouldnt be in AA but cant make the opening day AAA roster stay for a few weeks until there is a promotion or DL in AAA.

What is wrong with Antone? Why is he projected on the DL?
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

    Succumbed to Tommy John
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Tommy John is 73 years old (!).

Antone is a wuss if he can't beat up an old man.

90 percent of that list is correct. Austin Ross is there also.

Beyond Aquino, that batting order is borderline offensive.

    The pitching staff, though...

    Castillo
    Mahle
    Mella
    Strahan
    Herget
    Brice
    Guillon
    Hernandez
    Weiss (possibly)

Relievers and starters. Lots of heat. Some projection too.

Thanks. I hadn't seen that. Too bad. I thought he was a sleeper. Maybe he'll come back throwing harder like some guys do.

As for the pitching staff, without the depth of power arms, Marrero plans to roll with a six-man rotation. Right-hander Jonathon Crawford will take the ball on Thursday night, looking to rebound after battling injuries for significant portions of the last two seasons.

Jose Lopez, Vladimir Gutierrez, Jesus Reyes, Ty Boyles and Wendolyn Bautista are the other expected starters. Gutierrez, who inked a $4.75 million signing bonus from the Reds, pitched largely in relief in his native Cuba. He’s the No. 4 international prospect in baseball, according to MLB.com

    Re: Daytona Tortugas Roster

Does this mean Mark Armstrong, Austin Orewiler, and Jake Paulson are all being "permanently" switched to relievers?
