Too bad Stephenson was used in extra innings last night, would have been good to have him available to pitch several innings instead of maybe one or two.

So that inning went exactly as badly as I feared it could.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

    Welp, that sucked.

Probably not a good idea to spot a guy like Arrieta a 3-0 lead.

Honestly my enjoyment of the game is already shot lol, all I wanted to see was a decent start from Reed.

Maybe the Reds can crush Arrieta though with all the Reds batters raising their batting stats, that would make me feel slightly better.

Yep. Didn't want to say it but I think the Cubs were too much for Reed right now. Either way you gotta be able to take the ball against whoever. Hopefully he can settle down and get some innings in and build confidence. It's one bad inning. It happens.

Arrieta sure does have a goofy delivery.

Agreed. It's like having a guy who got shellshock to return to the scene of the incident, but like you said, he has to be able to do it.

Holy crap. Did I just hear Thom Brenneman use "OPS" in a sentence?

Contreras, you're not pudge or even yadi. Stop with the pick off attempts that aren't close.

    Cubs gonna Cub!

Sweet tag from Baez gives us runners at 2nd and 3rd, no outs.
