Still have a smile on my face this morning from that game last night. That was good stuff.

But bunting is still bad.

Well that was a fun win. Too bad I was on my way to work and couldn't watch it live.

Thom having a banner night making calls before the plays are completed.

There are a number of things that bug me about the way he calls a game, but this is number one with a bullet.

Great finish and I agree with you, but the bunt was really stupid.

It sure was...as was the bunt by Hamilton in the 5th inning earlier in the game. We can't be giving away outs like that. On a team with pitching issues and a strong offense that's poor managerial strategy

I just put on the Dodgers/Cardinals game and it's amazing how other teams announcers are not editorializing every 5 seconds. Matt Carpenter laid down a perfect bunt against the shift for a base hit and Dodgers announcers call it, say it was nicely done, and move on. I can hear Thom in my head going "Wow, what a BEAUTIFUL play by Carpenter. I mean, that is big league" for the next 3 minutes.

And then 1B prospect playing in left Cody Bellinger completely muffs a groundball single to him that ended up rolling to the wall and allowed two runs to score. Dodgers announcers reaction is "Well, that wasn't good." Thom would be another 5 mintues into a "You gotta be kidding me" bit.

In conclusion Thom is bad and I hate him.

My biggest complaint about Thom is how he praises players personally. Every game there will be another/coach or two that he says is the nicest guy in the world. After awhile when you say this all the time it loses its intended meaning 'cause the feeling is everyone's a good guy
