2-5 with a double, home run (8), 2 runs, and he had 3 RBI. Up to .786 OPS now
2nd among A+ SS in wRC+ (min. 200 PAs).
In the top 10 of all current full-season minor league SS (min. 300 ABs)
He'll be a top 100/ top 10 SS either this season or next. (Or at least he should.)
Is he better than India?
I wouldn't put him there, though I could see the argument (younger, same success, harder defensive position, splashier tools).
If that's your criteria, Tyler Stephenson should probably be your number three guy. Nearly the same wRC+, but as a catcher in AA.
If he’s not top 100 prospect this offseason it would be pretty dumb.
What would you say.....ya do here?
I like to divide the season in half for young players to get some idea of how they are adjusting to the new level. In Garcia's case both in 2018 in Dayton and 2019 in Daytona, he has raised his second half OPS by more than 100 points. I find that encouraging. He seems to have the tools needed to become a good defender in time. I pay less attention to the top 100 than most do, but yes, I think he will crack the top 100 preseason next year.

I dont get uptight over who is top 100. As has been said from 50 to 200 there is very little seperation. Pedigree, even things that say nothing about a prospect like how his team or parent club is doing might mean 50 or 60 spots. There is a raft of players around 45-50 toolswise and huge differences in minor leagues. If you can rank those prospects even half accurately you're doing better than 99%
99% of all numbers only tell 33% of the story so when looking at the numbers remember that numbers is plural...
Very good and in-depth article on Garcia's improvements this year:

Mr. Garcia now has a .263/.364/.474 line in the AFL. Also has 3 SB. It's a crazy small sample, but it reinforces what the season told us: dude's got some game.

From a John Sickle article in the The Athletic on one prospect per organization outside of his overall top 100 worth watching closely:
https://theathletic.com/1262861/2019...each-mlb-team/Jose Israel Garcia, SS, Cincinnati Reds: 21-year-old Cuban; hit .280/.343/.436 with eight homers, 15 steals in High-A; very fast, superior defensive tools, improved plate discipline this year and began to tap his power; long-term investment with risk but trend lines are good; ETA 2022

Well, that's what those words mean. He was here. If they don't keep him, he will have been lost/subtracted. I headed out the door today with two shoes on my feet. If I don't return with them, I have lost them. If I do return with them, I haven't added them. ---M2

Seems like this should be mentioned...

Since there are no teams on the moon, I guess South Korea's far enough from Cincinnati to satisfy me.
