Typical 4th Or 5th OF is how I’ve always seen Fairchild. Typical Buckley low upside pick. I’m hoping with the new regime those days are over. Drafting him over Drew Waters was one of the more frustrating draft moments of the last several years, and many of us said it the minute it happened.

Went 3 for 4 last night and his slash line is .387 .424 .940 in limited action in the AFL.

Overall he has had a very nice 2019 considering he spent most of the year in the extremely pitcher friendly FSL. Could he be an answer at CF in a couple of years?

I assume he still has a plus arm. If he still has his above average speed and takes decent routes to the ball, I think he is absolutely an option out there. His ETA may be 2020 and not 2021, given how well he hit in his AA audition.

I'd move him up to AAA to start the season largely because he's had 200 PAs in AA and the AFL and done very well. (Need plays a small part as well.)

A AAA OF of Siri, Friedl, O'Grady, Longhi, and Fairchild would be a interesting in that it has sneaky good upside plays and adequate AAAA depth for a couple games. Too, Siri, Friedl, O'Grady, and Longhi are all expendable enough to be added and jettisoned off the 40-man roster if they don't meet expectations or if another spot's needed.
