I'd argue that the bolded pitchers are right where they ought to be in terms of their overall development.

I wouldn't fight you hard at all on Mahle, and I've never been high on Romano, and obviously that hasn't changed. Then we have Garrett, who is absolutely killing it, but from the pen. At some point, we have to develop an above average STARTER. Thats my point, I listed 7 guys and at this stage, they all have tons of work to do to get to even average

I am sorry if someone asked earlier (not wading through 50+ pages) but is there a red flag or specific reason Rocker has fallen out of first round in comparison to EARLY projections?

My guess is when a player falls this far, it is signability issue. Teams do not want to fail to sign a high pick and lose that bonus pool money.

Kentucky had the most draftees in the country this year (13) and the most taken over the last two seasons (21)

If you had the opportunity to get these poor souls out of Kentucky, wouldn't you?

How are they doing in the CWS this year? I don't remember them making noise last year.

1 Kumar Rocker RHP North Oconee (GA)
2 Brice Turang SS Santiago (CA)
    3 Brady Singer RHP Florida
4 Jarred Kelenic OF Waukesha West (WI)
    5 Jackson Kowar RHP Florida
6 Joe Gray Jr. OF Hattiesburg (MS)
    7 Seth Beer OF Clemson
8 Konnor Pilkington LHP Mississippi State
9 Ethan Hankins RHP Forsyth Central (GA)
10 Will Banfield C Brookwood (GA)

Personally, I'd love to see Kumar Rocker, Brady Singer, Joe Gray or Seth Beer in Red this time next year. Of course, who knows where we'll be drafting, and who knows how these guys will perform and rise/fall over the next 12 months.
Two years later almost to the day, I’d still take Rocker #1.

I think the Reds will regret not taking him. He's who I wanted, too. But at 1-1 I'd take Rocker.

Oregon State won the College World Series.....again. Some guy named Madrigal was pretty good. Some other guy named Rutschman was pretty good. Some Rookie went 4-0 in the World Series. A few other top draft picks. About the most dominant season ever by any College Baseball team.
