Have Doolittle and Madsen joined the Nats yet? If they have then they may not be in range.

Who cares about the roster spot? What possible difference could Turner's roster spot make?

The team has a 6.04 starting ERA coming into today, and now it's even higher with a bad start today.

How is anybody going to fix that critical pitching problem with the 25th roster spot?

Reds are quite properly protecting Turner, a young catcher with hitting potential, rather than losing him.

I like to see the Reds be competitive. So I care about that roster spot. Basically it just looks bad but apparently they don't care so why should I?

Wojo has been looking better recently.

Knock on wood, but I thought he looked fine in his first go-around. He just got the plug pulled on him because the best record in baseball Dodgers kicked him around in two straight starts.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Not sure what it means that three catchers "looks bad." The Reds have a reason for it, makes sense under the circumstances. Next year they will be free to keep Turner in the minors.

And Turner's roster spot is not why the Reds are non-competitive. They are non-competitive because they have no pitching.

4 straight infield popouts by the Nats. Is that an MLB record? Inquiring minds want to know!

I understood keeping Turner I just don't understand never letting him every start it's not like Barnhart is a must start.

Keeping Stuart Turner as the 25th man is preventing the Reds from signing Clayton Kershaw.

If he's going to be on the team play him every once in a while. Today would have been the perfect opportunity. It's obvious they know he's not a MLB player and have decided to let him ride the bench ala Bill Plummer of the 68 Cubs. I'm sure everyone else on the team love being short handed and know Reds management really doesn't care if they are winning or not.
