something I struggle with -- the batter hasn't shown the ability to catch up to your fastball - so with 2 strikes you speed up his bat by going off speed -- and he pulls it for a hit ----
The older I get - the better I was

and yes - I hate the Cardinals (Reds fan since 1958)

    I miss Raisor

Dee Gordon singles and then steals 2nd and 3rd, which isn't ideal.

Gordon scores on a groundout. Agree with Red Raindog, throwing Gordon that breaking pitch that he lofted into right was a mistake.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Thought the same thing. Mesoraco wanted it low and RS left it up above the knees, which didn't help matters.

Marlins out in order after Gordon's antics. 1-0 Fish with the Reds coming up.

Two strike breaking pitch worked ok against Ozuna.

Yeah but he had already fooled Ozuna with it, there was no real reason to go breaking ball with Gordon and his location compounded the fact.

Seemed like he grooved that pitch, which was the basic problem. I don't mind Stephenson mixing his pitches. I'm glad he seems confident in his secondary stuff.

Close play at third, but Hamilton steals successfully. Reds with first and third.

Bags full for Duvall, none out.

Reds need to start cashing in these spots.

Ump getting a lot of them wrong so far.

Bases loaded with no outs for the Reds though.
