It's been officially 162 games since he started his Ted Williams streak last year. So it's now officially a new season. Votto struggles in April except in 2015 so it's going to be a month before he gets going again. It's science.

Great Ceasers Ghost this website is anal. Posting sometimes is like trying to watch the Reds young starters develop. Brutal.

Billy delivers an RBI single and the Reds nonsensically send Barnhart and he's out in a home plate collision.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

This rule (and subsequent game delays resulting from it) is ridiculous.

I think he was in the line too early.

Reds challenged but the out at home call is upheld. 1-1 game after 2.

I think they should do away with the rule.

If the baserunner goes out of his way to run over a catcher not in the baseline, then not only is he out, but he's also ejected. But if contact takes place in the baseline (like it did here) then whatever happens, happens.
Eric Stratton, Rush Chairman. Damn glad to meet ya.

A 12 pitch inning for Romano which he needed, aided by a great catch in foul territory by Duvall.

Stanton came in on a homer tear.
    The Reds have stifled him.

Duvall with a dandy defensive play in foul ground. Ls are piling up, but give him credit for continuing to play hard.

Could not disagree more. Rule has been excellent for preventing needless injuries.
