    Leadoff triple for Billy
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Billy should have stopped at 2nd so he could pad his SB total by stealing 3rd.

When he keeps the ball from elevating, he is very good. Unfortunately, he doesn't do that so much.

Reds scored three in the first last night and then just quit. Encore?

THom is surprised that top drag racers aren't Southern, but rather Californian.

Gee THom, haven't you ever seen American Graffiti? Drag racing was part of the Southern California car culture.

(Southern boys migrate to NASCAR, which is descended from moonshiners and ridgerunning.)

Still is a left coast sport, though some exist in the southeast and Charlotte has become a hub for the sport.

I'm not really bothered by not scoring a runner on third with no outs, season has been over for over a month.

lol. Duvall strikes out looking, Gennett GIDP. Inning over.

Also, of course, Thom finds a way to blame Votto.

The Padres' gray road uniforms are a clean look, but too generic.

I prefer the brown and gold jerseys from the 70's and early 80's, or at least the brown/orange combos from the late 80's and early 90's.

Just like the 1st inning yesterday, many fewer runs scored than should have been from where they were with none out.
