    Reds win, 8-3.

Tonight's Joe Nuxhall Star of the Game is Stuart Turner, who was 1-for-4 and hit a 2-run HR for his first major-league home run.

When I saw the lineup for this game, I did not expect this outcome. It's great to see the team win with the bench players contributing.

Bad choice. Should have been Woj. Pitched great and had his first major league hit.

I strongly considered him, and normally would have selected him, though I would say he pitched decently but not great. (His last inning of work knocked him down a letter grade.) 5⅔ innings allowing 3 runs is not great. If he had finished 6 innings and allowed only 1 run (or maybe 2), he probably gets it.

But I think Nux would have gone against his natural bias toward pitchers and picked Turner, who has had a very difficult season through no fault of his own, and was able to contribute to the win tonight. Also, I think Nux would figure that Turner might not have another opportunity to be selected the rest of the year. (Wojo has been picked a couple of times already.) It would give Stu a rare opportunity to be interviewed, and it would also give the fans an opportunity to get to know him.

    Nuxy was sentimental that way.

    I miss Joe Nuxhall

It was good to see and hear Morgan. The last time I saw him he appeared to be in very poor health. Sounded much better last night.
