I watch these games and hope Scooter turns into Daniel Murphy, but of late have hopes Suarez turns into Rendon

And of course Homer turn into his Scherzer projection

    love that Geno
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Shackelford pitching two innings and giving up 3 runs is a win in my book.

    Nice....

If he grades out as average then I question the grading system...
For the record, Duvall has a career +6.3 UZR/150 and 15 defensive runs saved according to DRS. In other words, both advanced defensive stat systems rate him above average.

I have no idea who this guy is but he says that it was back spasms that forced Homer from the game

The guy likes to tweet and he believes the NBA is a real sports league- probably believes WWE is real as well.

Nice swing by Suarez on the homer, had to reach for it slightly but maintained balance, very nice swing.

Reds' announcers bemoaning the state of pitching in the big leagues. Hey guys, nobody has pitching as miserable as the Reds. I've really never seen anything like it.

Eww, the number of cheering fans in the ballpark is gross.
All models are wrong. Some of them are useful.

Trash that Billy gets an error because Suarez was blocked from seeing it and Lorenzon doesn't know how to back up a play

I dunno. I think this year is worse with the 6 ERA from starters. But last year was pretty tough to watch too, agree.

Lorenzen runs the bases like an outfielder.

Jim Day just powerbombed THom on TV!

THom: "Jim Day! Care to share any words of wisdom that you and Joey Votto discussed in the on-deck circle?"

JD: "My words of wisdom would be to check an optometrist. I don't talk to the players on the field."
