    Luplow with an infield single. Cozart made a nice play to stop it but had no chance for the out.

    I'll say this. If Mahle can locate that curve ball for strikes the way he has so far, he's going to have a long sustained major league career.

    This is my first chance watching him and I like what I see so far. He's got the same poise that Castillo had when he came up.

    Also Angel Hernandez appears to be in rare form, even for Hernandez, in his awfulness at calling balls and strikes. He must know where the bodies are buried.
