Very nice start from Mahle, about what I expect to see in 2018.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

On what planet should Stuart Turner be swinging 3-0 with two on and one out in the 7th inning?
"In our sundown perambulations of late, through the outer parts of Brooklyn, we have observed several parties of youngsters playing 'base', a certain game of ball. Let us go forth awhile, and get better air in our lungs. Let us leave our close rooms, the game of ball is glorious"

Zero runs won't be enough to win this one.

The planet where he's batting well under .200

What happened. No Reds here. We have some mediocre College football from teams two time zones away instead.

1-0 Pirates after Turner and Lorenzen leave home plate unattended when an off-line throw came in, allowing the runner an unfettered path to score.

I'm not a Price guy but I feel like I gotta stick up for him as he's been piled on lately.

The setup was there to ream him if Mahle gave up a run in the 6th. But you know what, he didn't and Mahle ended up with a heck of an outing. I prefer the 6 IP 105 pitches to the 5 IP 92 pitches myself.

Thanks. Bonus points for "unfettered" BTW. A couple more for the avatar whoever that may be.

Pirates announcers say it was Votto's fault.
