3 body problem was good enough that I'll now read the books. I have gripes sure, but they're minor. Loved it.

I was waiting on a real review, so I'll be looking at it.

I'm reading the book now, and once I finish it I'll watch the series. The book, 180 pages in, is trippy as hell.

I read 3 Body Problem years ago and thought it was fairly unfilmable so I've been impressed through the first few episodes. The GoT guys seem to have a knack for adapting things, that's all they should do going forward based on this and GoT before they ran out of material.

It's such a iconic work in China that their TV did a 30 part series. It's on Prime TV now. It's much more true to the books, but that makes it slow and ponderous.

The Netflix version turned the central character into the Oxford 5. It makes it much more palatable to Western audiences, and actually improves the story in some places.

Like Game of Thrones, they had to omit a couple of major plot lines, just because it would take forever to film.

I'm really hoping it gets good enough reviews to get green-lighted for a few more seasons. The story is so rich and so unlike anything I've read before.

You can call me a sentimental old knucklehead if you want, but the best half hour of TV I’ve watched in 2024 was the episode of “Bluey” titled “The Sign”. There, I said it…

The first two episodes of The Sympathizer have been great. Being an American, it was really interesting to see the fall of Saigon from the perspective of the South Vietnamese government.

And Robert Downey Jr does his Robert Downey Jr thing.

Fallout wasn't perfect but it was really freaking good. Walton Goggins carries the show, not the the others are bad, he's just so freaking good. Continues the trend of him never making a bad show. The Shield and Justified are both 10/10. He makes a radioactive ghoul charismatic and likable.

Don't forget he was also a great heel in Vice Principals.

I thought the Shogun finale was a bit anti-climactic, but I think that was the point and showed Torrenaga's genius. Great show.

Shogun is the next series in line for me. Right now, I'm re-watching all of Lost for the 4th time with my girlfriend (her first go through). She's loving it. We're just about to finish S5.

There's a ton of hype stuff coming out this year. The Boys, House of the Dragon, Squid Games, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, and hopefully...Severance.
Arise and walk, come through. A world beyond that door is calling out for you. Arise and walk, come through. It's calling out for you.
