    RIP Fats Domino

I had no idea he was still around.

    Ain't that a shame.

I really enjoy his late 60’s covers of a few Beatle Songs. RIP

“A lot of people seem to think I started this business,” Presley told Jet magazine in 1957. “But rock ’n’ roll was here a long time before I came along. Nobody can sing that music like colored people. Let’s face it: I can’t sing it like Fats Domino can. I know that.”

I was just checking to make sure this wasn't one of ChipR's obituaries from 2002.

In all sincerity, RIP. He didn't have the chops or sound to adjust and survive in rock, but his early work is a lot of fun.

He was one of the true pioneers of rock. I was looking at his discography and I didn't realize just how many top 40 hits he had.

I had been under the assumption Fats Domino had been dead for at least 30 years.

Next thing you'll try to tell me is that Chubby Checker is still alive.

No worries. I can guarantee you that you'll never read a story about the Big Bopper dying of old age.

The plane crash never happened. It was a conspiracy by the CIA and Portugal

That'll be the day the music died.
