Michigan State was supposed to punish the girls who played in his program by not offering them scholarships? Michigan State has done a lot of bad stuff. Not sure why this one is on them.
If schools would stop dealing with him then his influence and power over these girls goes away.
There are always tons of reasons to not hold people accountable for their actions, and those reasons always suck.
This country and the world in general has a long way to go cleaning up this sexual assault mess. There is disgusting debauchery everywhere you turn and a never ending parade of people willin to enable the perpetrator and blame the victims.
Hold him accountable by screwing over girls who had nothing to do with whatever it is he did? Doesn't sound like a sensible response to me.
When I think of "screwing over girls" the first things that comes to mind is allowing a sexual predator to continue to have unfettered access to the young girls he preys on.
No way in hell I'd want my daughter training with that guy, scholarship potential be damned.
Sometimes you have to do the right things even if it's painful or inconveniences people.

Prosecutors accuse Michigan State of trying to sabotage Larry Nassar investigation:
Michigan State University attempted to sabotage and slow prosecutors' investigation into the school's handling of sexual abuse by Larry Nassar, investigators said Friday.
NBC News reported that special counsel Bill Forsyth, who is leading the investigation into Nassar's pattern of abuse while employed as a physician at Michigan State, argued that the university deployed a series of tactics designed to obstruct prosecutors.
“Their biggest concern was the reputation of the university,” Forsyth told reporters.
NBC reported that Forsyth released a report updating the investigation that accused the school of "drowning investigators in irrelevant documents," asserting attorney-client privilege when it did not apply and replying to document requests with materials unrelated to the investigation.

Michigan State interim President and former governor John Engler has resigned days after saying that some survivors of Larry Nassar's abuse were "enjoying the spotlight."
