I tried it, but didn't like it at all. My girlfriend is Chinese though, so my taste is for more authentic Chinese. She said there was another China cottage in Kettering, but they have a second menu that is authentic Chinese, and that one is much better. Man, I miss a sushi café in Miamisburg right off I 75.

I found the place I was looking for. It was called the Grub Steak. Place was amazing.

Yes, on Byers Rd near Bob Evans? Best sushi around. The next place is Sushi Hanna.

That’s the very first place I ever had sushi. It was good.

    Montgomery Inn.

Baby Back Ribs and Saratoga Chips.

On a side note, if i ever go to Indianapolis again I want to go to St Elmo Steakhouse and try the shrimp cocktail. The cocktail sauce is extremely potent.

Jeez. I went to the Grub Steak up on North Main in about 1969. Took a high school date there. It was a cult thing then.

Am I the only one who thinks Montgomery Inn is ridiculously overhyped?

Their sauce is nothing but water, and from my experience - when you can start buying a restaurant's food in a grocery store (MInn is available at Kroger), it's crap food.

That can be said for Chili's, PFChang, WhiteCastle, Steak&Shake, Skyline, Donatos, BostonMarket, and a dozen other restaurants' food that can be found in Kroger.

Sea Ray I would second all the restaurants Dabvu stated. And I would add the rib house in Vandalia. They have some of the best broasted chicken I've ever had. Also bunkers is one of my favorite places in Dayton. Tons of beers on tap and all the food is amazing. But their Sunday breakfast and brunch is where it's at.

Sounds great...but Vandalia...that's a long trek from Cincinnati. I'll definitely keep those places in mind if I'm in the area. Thanks

Glad to hear it. They are starting to dial it in. My son is the kitchen manager/sous chef.

And yes Doug, I’m bragging about Sartre on this list. Raising successful children in the modern world is a daunting task.

I forgot about Cozy’s Cafe our in West Chester (on this list). It’s a great place. I highly recommend the short rib fries. I had that and lobster Mac and cheese and my arteries seized up. I didn’t eat again for 2 days.
