    Reds at Indians 3/15/18

Reds might be worn out since they are on the road for this game......

Mahle pitching. Thru 2 innings, has not given up a run. ERA down to 3.09. Should be better but minor leaguer let 2 of his runners score in a previous game.

Run driven in by Votto single and Schebler double.

Listening to the game. Gotta say I like "Gym day".
He's Jim Kelch but with a little brighter, friendlier, happier, less boring sounding voice.

Lock him up now to a LTC! Tell Thom he's better at football or maybe WWE announcing

Single by Pennington, single by Hamilton. I repeat...Single by Hamlton!! Suarez safe on fielders choice. Bases loaded 0 outs for Votto.

Votto singles. Everyone moves up one base.

Schebler clears the bases with another double. 5-0 Reds

    Duvall doubles 6-0

Elizalde flies out. Mez fliies out.

    Dixon pops up.

Mahle is good. He is clearly one of the five best options for the starting rotation. Will be curious if they ice him for service time reasons.

Took Tyler Mahle about 6 pitches to get through the third. #Reds lead 6-0. Have to like his chances to make the rotation.

I guess this means Mahle starts the season in AAA.

Does Dixon make the roster? Sounds like he made another nice defensive play.

Mahle went one more scoreless inning. era 2.45. Brice came in and gave up 3 in one inning. He had a 2.08 ERA starting innning.... 6.75 when it was done.

Whatever they do, I'm sure they will screw it up. But Mahle appears to actually have a head on his shoulders so maybe he can handle it. My opinion- stop thinking like a penny pinching small market organization, even if that's who you are. Give the fans reason to have a little hope. If he's ready to pinch, send him out there.

No home runs either. FIP-wise, he wasn't even out there today.
