Thom seems like he's in a good place mentally and emotionally, and he's really enjoying his time on the air.

Joe Maddon translator: The Reds should just be quiet and show no emotion when they are somehow getting the best of the Cubs. Any Red who defies this edict will be dealt with accordingly. The Cubs and their fans can do whatever they want.

Surprised that Quintana and Darvish are struggling so far this year...but not upset.

    Both with Finnegan-esque HR/9 and BB/9 numbers.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

As resident lefty masher, I hope Duvall makes the most of this start.

Maddon: “Garrett needs to tone down the celebrations.” [turns towards bullpen] “WHY AREN’T YOU GUYS DANCING!?!?!”

One of the best ABs from Duvall I can remember since...probably ever.

Darvish isn't surprising to anyone who watched the World Series.

Burned some pitches and took the walk. Not complaining.

    And Shebler negates it, lol.

3rd inning is basically toast with Cruz and the pitcher spot. Might run an errand and come back.

It is happening again. 1st and 3rd no out with Zobrist and La Stella.

    1-0 Cubs on a Bryant fielder's choice
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
