"If I didn't have this gun, the King of England could just walk in here any time he wants and start shoving you around, you want that? Huh? Do you?"

Bumping this thread because out of nowhere today, I thought about the episode where they move to Cypress Creek. Specifically, when the teacher in Bart's remedial class tells them to take out a "safety pencil and a circle of paper"

A couple weeks ago we took a day trip to Myrtle from the beach we were staying at. There’s a 4d Simpson’s movie theater next to a real life Kwik E Mart.

Bought a squishee for my son and a Duff energy drink for myself. They also had Lard-lad donuts, Buzz cola, heat lamp hot dogs, flaming Moe energy drinks, played different Simpsons music numbers, and had other merchandise.

It is interesting to do the math on the Simpsons. If Bart is 10 that means he was born around 2009 and according to the original story line Homer knocked Marge up shortly after high school which led to their wedding; so that would make them 30 and born around 1990 and if Grandpa Simpson was 30 when he fathered Homer he would have been born around 1960 and in grade school during Vietnam much less a WW II vet as he is still shown.

Well, the show debuted in Dec. 1989. The 10 year-old Bart would have been born in 1979. No?

Dude. Bart was born in 1979. It was all in the first few seasons episodes of how Homer became a bowling Pin jockey.

That would be true if the episodes were still taking place in 1990, however current episodes are in 2019.
