It really shows the reluctance of teams to trade high end prospects.
That’s a little skewed/misleading because Meadows and Glasnow no longer qualify as prospects.

That said, it makes me wonder what kind of big league asset the Reds could’ve gotten had they been willing to part with Shed Long.

BA has updated their top 100. 4 Senzel, 21 Trammell, 31 Greene, 45 India. No other Reds

Four in the top 50 is nice to see.

Still believe the talking heads are sleeping on Santillan.

J J Cooper article on prospects traded at the deadline. Notes that the price for improving a contender keeps going down given the low number of top 100 prospects traded.

It seems to me that there is a strong trend to get younger and to refuse to depart with top prospects. It probably accounts for why the Reds did not move Harvey. Perhaps offers were little more than minor league filler. This youth trend suggests that veteran FA players may again find it hard to get long term deals this off season.

The Reds would do well to take advantage of this trend.

Where would Sims slot in on the Reds prospect list?

Ineligible I believe, but if he were eligible probably behind Santillan and on par with Gutierrez. Think of him as another Robert Stephenson.
