For me, hands down it's The Crow. NiN, The Cure, just some great music. Burn might be the most underrated song of the 90's.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
Others off the top of my head:
Trainspotting, Almost Famous, Goodfellas, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Boogie Nights, High Fidelity, etc.
Arise and walk, come through. A world beyond that door is calling out for you. Arise and walk, come through. It's calling out for you.
Pulp Fiction, The Matrix
Question: does Purple Rain count? Seems like it was a stand-alone album with the movie kinda surrounding it.
Speaking of Prince movie soundtracks, the original Batman (the one with Jack Nicholson and Michael Keaton) soundtrack was a must listen in my earlier years.
Edit: Gotta give a shout out to Donnie Darko soundtrack as well. Lots of great 80s stuff as well as a delightfully haunting cover of 'Mad World' by Gary Jules.

Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. -- Carl Sagan (Pale Blue Dot)

The Leftovers (TV show)
The Royal Tenenbaums
The Darjeeling Limited
28 Days Later
Twin Peaks (all the TV soundtracks and also Fire Walk With Me and the two Johnny Jewel releases with unused score from the new season)
Witness (awesome synth score)
Cool Hand Luke
Better Off Dead
Songs in the Key of X: Songs Inspired by the X Files (these songs weren't on the show, I don't think, and the songs are kind of bonkers and weird but a lot of big bands on this and it is a unique soundtrack for sure)
I can probably keep going if I looked through my record collection for ones I'm forgetting.

I agree with a lot of what has already been posted, so I'll add
Singles
Rushmore
Forrest Gump
The full Spotify soundtrack of Valley Girl is almost a perfect 80s time capsule. And you need that one because you don't get Electric Avenue, Eaten by the Monster of Love or Town Called Malice on the official version.
Yet, as an original work and a unified soundtrack, Kill Bill is tough to beat. RZA did something iconic there.
And upon further consideration, maybe it's Grosse Point Blank - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119229/soundtrack. It's got Motorhead and the Dazz Band.

I'm not a system player. I am a system.

When I see the 2016 Reds, I see a 100 loss team and no direction.

Star Wars
What would you say.....ya do here?

Love the Singles soundtrack, but I've never seen the movie, so I can't count it.
A couple of old school choices:
The Third Man: Zither Power!
High Noon: One of the first examples of variations on a repeated motif.
Overall, I probably have to go with Star Wars, though.
