Middle of the week day game tomorrow, 25 minutes earlier than it would be in Cincy. I hope Castillo has his change-up going early and often. Braves starter is 8-2 with 2.59 ERA, and has four starts this month with 2.22 ERA and 6.1 innings per game, while in May he was 5-0 and averaged 6.4 innings in his wins and had a 1.54 ERA for the month. I hope Suddenlink doesn't let me down tomorrow.

If the Reds continue the rest of the season at their current pace over the last 43 games, they will end the season at 79-83.

Which would be fairly remarkable after that horrific start, and it would place them roughly where I expected them to be coming into the season. I think I predicted 80 wins.

I didn't expect them to do that well, but I like what I see. Escaping the 90-loss seasons of the Price era would be enough to generate hope.

Sounds like Harvey is getting better and better. Hopefully this increases his value because I doubt the Reds could sign even if they want to. Reds are now 5-1 in this stretch of 11 games playing good teams. I like that and hope it continues. Early game today at 12:10. Two out of three against the Braves would look good.
