That's what I was thinking, but I couldn't put it into words. You said it much more eloquently than I could have.

You could definitely tell that this wasn't Riggleman's first rodeo.

lol his expressions really were always either "no idea what's happening" or "about to cry".
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Definitely not a great pitch in that situation.
He was barely getting a piece of the breaking ball and he was swinging at everything.
You know Hernandez goes scoreless for the month of June and he gets no credit. Then finally he shows he's human and all you guys can do is criticize him!! Tough life to be a reliever!! And he throws 93-94

I think Cooper told Riggleman that he bunts too much.

This was one of those GABP nights where because of the weather, there are a lot of home runs given up. Tomorrow is supposed to be hotter. I don't know what the weather will be like in CHI this weekend but if the wind's blowing out, expect more of the same.

When both teams are chirping, you know you're having an off night, although that's pretty much a norm with Cooper. His toss of Riggleman was his own doing by being pompous. Yes, it was a long game, chump, but you're still on the clock just like everyone else, then you toss someone because you did not SEE his signal. As Bush League as his ever changing strike zone.

In other news, that was a pathetic loss. Balls were flying, yes, but when you keep on throwing high strikes in the middle of the plate, they are going to launch. Just not a good night for the staff allowing a bad team to outscore 10-1 after being handed a 7-2 lead.

I missed the tossing -- what precipitated it?

Riggleman requested an intentional BB. The camera clearly shows Jim holding up 4 fingers. He did it at least twice. The ump refused to pay attention and the batter got a hit. Riggleman went unglued.

It was bush league by the ump Cooper.

    “Four?” Cooper asked.

    “Yes. Four,” Riggleman responded.

“I need a sign,” Cooper said.

“I said to put him on,” Riggleman said.

“Well, I don’t hear it,” Cooper said. “I need to see something.”

“Put him on,” Riggleman said. “Yeah, you heard it.”

“That’s why you do your job,” Cooper said.

Riggleman followed by rushing out of the dugout. It was his 28th career ejection as a manager and first this season.
