The Reds found their Fountain of Youth in the 9th with an exciting come back from the dead win. You really just can't beat wins like this for excitement. The only thing that could put cold water on this is for Homer Bailey to pitch tonight.....uh...well there goes that.

Here's a nice bit of writing from the St. Louis paper

Cincinnati pinch-hitter Dilson Herrera tagged a bases-loaded, two-out single off closer Bud Norris to flip the fairy tale [Poncedeleon's no-hitter bid] into a 2-1 loss at Great American Ball Park and leave the Cardinals with just another faulty fable in the late innings.

I know you're using hyperbole, but at 63 years old, I can say that I did meet a priest when I was a kid who met Buffalo Bill when he, the priest, was a boy. That blew my mind and made me realize some of the Wild West figures lived into the 20th century. (Cody died in 1917, prominent Native Americans such as Geronimo, Chief Joseph and Red Cloud lived into the first decade of the century. Black Elk, who fought in both the Little Big Horn and Wounded Knee lived until 1950).

Dealson Herrera is now his name.
