Yeah wow. I generally am in favor of the quick hook but it was a double and a single and only 85 pitches. What is this accomplishing?
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

He hasn’t been able to get out of these situations at all this year. Always goes south, as evidence by the mid 5s era. No problem here with the early hook

Nice job to strand the runner by Hernandez.

How will he get better without ever having an opportunity? This is a bad team and a lost season. Let him pitch and finish the inning with a chance to win if the offense comes through.

Either way nice job by Hernandez and a good outing for Castillo.

Are we really being no-no'd by a soft tossing rookie named after a Spanish conquistador?

Maybe they can bring a guy named Balboa in to close it out.

I guess you can't expect a lot of offense when Hamilton, Duvall, Dixon and the pitcher are in the same game at the same time.

Well the complexion of that inning changed dramatically.

Nice to see replay serve it's intended purpose every now and then.
