    Hunter Greene Exits Early

Out after two innings, no explanation. I figured this has to be significant no matter what it means.

    Injury?
    Trade?
    Other?

Post here if you get any info or prescient observations.

Doug’s going to update here when he gets more info:

    http://redsminorleagues.com/2018/07/...hursday-night/

    From his column:

“Cincinnati Reds top prospect Hunter Greene left his scheduled start on Thursday night after just 2.0 innings for the Dayton Dragons. The right hander was not scheduled to have a short start tonight. The Dragons and Reds at this point have no comments on what or why Greene was removed from the game. I will update this post with more information when it becomes available.”

    From MiLB.com:

“A Dragons official was unaware of a gameplan for him to leave the contest early, further details weren't immediately available.”

Zero chance he's been traded. Cincinnati would burn to the ground.

    Hunter Greene Exits Early

Take this tweet for what it’s worth, but hard to imagine theyd have let him pitch through any discomfort.

I'm assuming he's being called up to replace Winker in right. I could be wrong about that, though.

TJ seems to be inevitable for pitchers, best to get it out of the way now.

He’s “not feeling well” per Dragons twitter.

He hit 102 on the gun. Maybe they didn't want him to do such a fool-thing.

    Re: Hunter Greene Exits Early

Can confirm. Dragons’ twitter claims the manager said he ‘wasn’t feeling well” and that it’s “not injury related.”

Sorry for the false alarm, RZ fam. Today just hasn’t been a good day. Though the fact he’s not injured is definitely good news.

Between the alternatives of him being injured or being traded, this is probably the best case scenario.

Probably just had a bad slice of Cassano’s before the game.
