    Minor league games of 8/21

Pensacola and Santillan have already teed it up, literally. Corey Ray with a leadoff homer. Santillan really needs to stop the bleeding today, his ERA has went up over 2 runs from his last two starts alone.
The good news, Siri continues to raise his average, 1-1 so far.

Santillan gives up another homer in the 2nd. This one to a gentleman with a 327 slugging percentage

    The Reds traded AlfRod?

Santillan tightened up to have a solid outing: 7 in 4 hits 2 hr 2 er 4 so.
Down 2-0 in the 8th, LaValley homered, next guy walked, the Friedl ked, Siri flied to right, and Colleymore I believed grounded out. Gotta have more out of TJ and Jose right there

The DSL-Reds fell 13-4. Jose Salvador continues to dominate. 3 IP, 3 H, 0 BB, 7 K. That effort lowers his ERA to 1.18. In 53.1 innings on the mound, Salvador has yielded 28 hits, and nary a home run. He has fanned 72 over that same span. He has yet to allow more than 2 earned runs in any of his 12 starts. In 4 August starts, he has walked 2 and struck out 22.

Not easy to lose 13-4 after a start like that.

Hello Scott Moss. Wild lime so far. Through 5 he’s given up 7 hits but has also struck out 10. Given up 2 runs but only 1 earned.
Trammell, Hawkins, and Ventura all have steals. The team only has two hits and 1 of them by Alf Rod

Louisville tumbles 5-2, and is officially eliminated from playoff participation. They are will on their way to their 7th consecutive losing season. Attendance is down approximately 25% over that stretch. Not good.
    Lucas Sims with an above average outing: 7 IP, 5 H, 5 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 7 K.
Brandon Finnegan struck out the side in his inning of relief.
Hernan Iribarren with 3 hits. Josh VanMeter, DJ Peterson and CJ McElroy with 2 apiece.

One more out, and Scott Moss will pick up his 15th win on the year.
Michael Byrne tossed 2 shutout innings to lower his ERA to 1.37.
Ryan Hendrix is dealing out of the pen in 2018. 1.73 ERA in 47 innings. 73 strike outs over that span.

Alfredo Rodriguez singled, doubled and walked. Good to see.

Jared Solomon is finding the sledding a bit tougher in the Midwest League, allowing double-digit hits in 5.2 frames.

Andy Sugilio with his 3rd multi-hit effort in as many games.

Dayton scores 3 in the top of the 9th and leads 7-4.

Josiah Gray is being stingy with hits again tonight. 5.1 IP, 1 H, 7 K. For the year, Gray has given up just 26 base knocks in 49.1 innings, while fanning 55.
Edwin Yon has doubled and dingered (3). He is a tall drink of water, standing 6'5".

That's nice to see how well Byrne is doing in high A ball. Any rationale to why he's two leagues ahead of his teammate in college and our #1 pick?
