Is it just me, or does Packy Naughton start every other game for Dayton?

Andrew Jordan has had better first innings:
    Vidal Brujan walks.
With Josh Lowe batting, wild pitch by Andrew Jordan, Vidal Brujan to 2nd.
Josh Lowe reaches on a fielding error by second baseman Randy Ventura. Vidal Brujan to 3rd.
Carl Chester singles on a line drive to left fielder Stuart Fairchild. Vidal Brujan scores. Josh Lowe to 2nd.
With Jake Fraley batting, wild pitch by Andrew Jordan, Josh Lowe to 3rd. Carl Chester to 2nd.
Jake Fraley grounds out softly, second baseman Randy Ventura to first baseman Bruce Yari. Josh Lowe scores. Carl Chester to 3rd.
Rene Pinto singles on a line drive to right fielder Michael Beltre. Carl Chester scores.
Tristan Gray walks. Rene Pinto to 2nd.
You can add another wallk to the above. Bases loaded. One out. Three runs in so far.
Jordan gets a K for out number 2, and then walks his 4th batter of the inning to make it 4-0.

Andrew Jordan will be getting the rest of the night off. 39 pitches, 15 strikes.

The first batter of the night against Josiah Gray tripled.
The first batter of the night against Packy Naughton doubled.

Inauspicious start to the evening's festivities.

Louisville is laughing 9-1 in the top of the 6th.

Matt Wisler started for the Bats, allowing 1 run in 4 innings. I suspect the bullpen will tow that lead to the finish line.

DJ Peterson has singled, doubled and homered (16). He's looking for a triple to complete the cycle.
Brian O'Grady has homered (6) and walked.
CJ McElroy came out after a play at the plate. He was replaced by Josh VanMeter. VanMeter has walked and doubled since entering the contest.

The way Wright is pitching tonight, he should go every other game, five scoreless stanzas so far tonight.

TJ Friedl has a couple of singles. Shed Long has driven in a pair with a double.

    Pensacola leads 2-0.

Daytona spotted the opposition 7 runs, and then could not come all the way back in a 9-6 loss.

    Ibandel Isabel jacked number 33.

Dayton and Lansing each scored a single run in the first, and since then the bats for both teams have gone silent.

Packy Naughton allowed that lone run in five innings of work. Ryan Nutof has silenced Lansing for 6 outs.

Doubles by Jose Garcia and Hendrick Clementina produced the Dragons' run.

Greeneville is heading into the bottom of the 9th still looking for its first marker. They trail 2-0.

Josiah Gray only went 3 innings (38 pitches). He gave up one of the runs. Daniel De La Fuente has worked 4 scoreless frames.

Miguel Hernandez has half of Greeneville's 6 hits. His batting average is up to .301.

Mike Siani is laboring down the stretch, going just 4 for his last 41.

Brandon Finnegan came on in the bottom of the 6th for Louisville. After a pair of ground ball outs, Finnegan served up back-to-back singles followed by back-to-back walks. He got out number three on strikes. Still.

    Unbelievable.

    Louisville scored a season-high 14 runs, pounding Indianapolis 14-2.
Austin Brice went 3 scoreless innings to earn a save. We will most likely see Austin in September (2.42).

    Pensacola blanks Mobile 2-0.
Alex Powers struck out the side in the 9th for his 17th save.
Pensacola is in a dogfight for a playoff spot.
The Wahoos either have to win their second-half division (1/2 game back as of this morning). Or, if Biloxi takes the second-half title, the Wahoos have to have the second-best overall record in their division (1/2 back in that regard as well).
Pensacola hosts Mobile again tonight, and then finishes up the season with 4 on the road against Tennessee.

Aneurys Zabala gets roughed up for a pair of runs in the 9th, as Dayton falls 3-1.
They are 5.5 games out of a playoff spot with 6 games to go.
Jeter Downs must have pissed someone off last night, he got plunked twice.

Billings is 2.5 games up on Missoula in the second-half divisional race. They travel to Missoula for a 4-game set starting tonight. They play 3 more on the road against Great Falls before returning home for 3 additional games against Great Falls to end the season.
