The contact play doesn't bother me when there are runners at 2nd & 3rd with one out. If the runner is thrown out at the plate, there should still be a runner at 3rd for the next batter.

I can already hear Riggleman empathizing with Bailey about spotty defense, and how he battled.

I wonder what Danny's telling Homer? Danny says " If it was up to me you would Be gone, playing for some semi-pro team, if that still possible!"

You have to wonder what the Reds starters are thinking when Homer is starting??

Brantley "It's been a conditioning night for the Reds outfield. Getting their sprints in!"

It's nice to have a starter who can give the bullpen a night off.

Maybe Homer could be one of those “openers” the kids are talking about.

Maybe we'll get to see Wisler tonight. Or his mother, who would likely be an improvement.

Maybe Marty, Welsh, and Brantley will stage an intervention with Bob C.

Maybe that's the last pitch Bailey throws as a Red.

It’s a shame Homer Bailey missed some time this year. If he hadn’t, he’d be vying for a 20-loss season.

My guess is that he was griping about the first strike, which was way out of the strike zone.
