I understand ownership wanting to try and get some value for their money. But this seems hopeless and I don’t think anything is being achieved by trotting him out there every five games.
It was a dumb idea in beginning of the season. Homer should have been cut before the season started and replaced with someone adequate. I can understand fans hoping for the best, but this shows how dumb (or apathetic ) the front office is.
The only silver lining is that Homer has been so awful, maybe the REds will finally cut him this offseason.. 3-4 years late , but at least we will be spared one more year of suffering.

    Good work from Wisler.

I have no faith that the front office will step up and release him, even at this point. PATHETIC. We need to have a "magic 8 ball" making GM decisions. It wouldbe better than this.

Was watching the game at a sportsbar.. Only one tv in the bar had the Reds game on.. After Homer blew it, the channel was changed to a random college football game.. keep in mind, the 4 TVs next to the one showing the Reds game were already showing the football game.. I think I was the only one in the bar to notice the channel changed..

Cecil is having a real Wandy Peralta type year, only he makes a lot more money than Peralta and his team is trying to win.

I'm like Welsh here. I'm extremely skeptical of the gun readings for Hicks. It doesn't look like he's throwing anywhere as near as hard as Chapman did a couple of years ago... or Kopech with the White Sox.

Case in point: Last pitch at 104. Give me a break. That ball was tailing away pretty hard. Nonsense.

Why in the name of all that's holy...What do the Reds see in Jackson Stephens and guys of his ilk?

It’s a shame Homer Bailey missed some time this year. If he hadn’t, he’d be vying for a 20-loss season.w

It was the expected way a team handles these situations. Low budget clubs don’t generally cut $50 million guaranteed players with two years remaining.

So they gave it a try, they DL’d him, he came back, he still hasn’t pitched well. With one year remaining, it’s time to get Bailey out of the rotation and move on.
