Absolutely, some things work out, and others done. Just for instance, Chris Olive looks like a future star, who was a three star(?) recruit who didn't sign until late in the cycle. You absolutely want the best players you can possibly get, but with the unevenness of this cycle, if OSU can creep into the top 5 on average, that would be a massive win. It would probably lead to a big 2020 class, when Day has more time.

No. Even if all 15 were five stars you’d probably be like 7th. That’s why looking at average rating also matters.
The obvious risk of a small class is you can’t miss.

That was a HUGE get for Day. It was a get that he needed really to put together a good class and stem the tide in the transition from Urban to him.

I don't know why you don't get this. By average they sit at #3 right now. They aren't in the top 10 because right now it is a small class.

They did get to 12th with the two guys today. Plenty of distance between OSU and Arkansas now.

I think they will get to top 10 by February.
I think they add at least 1 3-4 Star cornerback and a 3 star OL.
The potential issue is Doug Nester a 4 star and .95 rated OL who might flip to PSU.

Seems like Nester will depend on what happens with the OL coach. Hopefully they can keep him in the fold.
