A couple of thought before today's Titanic Struggle...

    1. I'm sure Jim Day is a fine person, but as an analyst, he is just horrible. I just wonder who he knows that got him his job? His personality isn't even good for TV on Reds Live, much less actually letting him call games. Chris Welsh has to correct him at least 3 times per game, he STILL knows absolutely nothing about baseball even though he is around it day in and day out, and you can tell he was probably picked on as a kid. He needs to understand the unwritten rule that certain home run calls belong to certain announcers. Like "Big Fly!" belongs to the Angel's play by play man, one I've heard him use more than once. He needs his own home run call, he sounds so lost as it is and it makes it even worse having a different home run call every time. Even George Grande patented "It's gonna beeeeeeeeee GONE!"

    2. Continuing to plug Billy Hamilton into the lead off spot just says we are still not committed to winning. I don't care if he is hitting .600 over his last 20 games.

    3. Who were the last Redlegs to win the RBI or Batting Titles? We have a shot at winning both.

    4. I really thought Senzel would be called up. But I guess it's smart not starting his service time yet. But he has to come up sooner or later.

Senzel is out with an injured/surgically repaired index finger.

If Billy were batting .600 over his last 20, they'd be fools for not batting him leadoff.

    I personally enjoy Jim Day.

2-0 Redlegs thanks to Billy, Joey, Scooter, and a wild pitch
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Mason Williams has a neck. So much for genes.

I think he got the left leg in there right before the tag on the right leg.

It's a little more common than it used to be, but it still looks weird to see a pitcher with a single-digit number.
Eric Stratton, Rush Chairman. Damn glad to meet ya.
