    9/7/18 San Diego @ Cincinnati 6:40 PM

    Scott Schebler - 9
    Jose Peraza - 6
    Joey Votto - 3
    Scooter Gennett - 4
    Eugenio Suarez - 5
    Mason Williams - 8
    Tucker Barnhart - 2
    Philip Ervin - 7
    Anthony DeSclafani -1

Brett Kennedy will be making his 6th start of his career for the Padres. The 24-year-old righthander is eminently hittable.

Too early to forfeit the rest of the year? Now is the time to tank.

Teams are going to run wild on Ervin, had all day, couldn't throw within 10 feet of home.

Tommy Thrall sounds good, fairly polished.

    2-0 Padres

After four miserable games, this one is on a tight leash for me tonight.

Scott Schebler singled, then he didn't. He got replayed.

Funny how the Reds can sometimes make a rookie look like Bob Gibson.

Time to tank was the day after the all star break in my opinion.

Manuel Margot grounded out, and then he didn't. He's standing on first. Replay.

I just want 1 home run from Votto in the 2nd half.
    Just 1.
And I'll be happy. But I'm not sure it'll happen...

I hear you, Peraza is showing more power.

How many fans will be around by the end of this snooze-fest?

Brett Kennedy is my favorite Padre hurler. 4 walks in the inning, and counting.

And that is all for Mr. Kennedy. He cannot get the win.

Man...the kid Peraza has come so far in such a short time.
He is one of the better stories in baseball but gets no media love because he plays in The Queen City.
1 year ago I never dreamed I would rather have him on my roster than Todd Frazier.
At this point he is putting together better at bats than Votto.

Peraza can be the lead off man of a playoff team.
    Billy....not so much.
