    9/9/18 - Reds vs. Padres

“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Long, stressful first but Mahle escapes unscathed.

Padres load'em up in the first on a single and 2 walks, but cannot dent the scoreboard. Mahle throws 26 pitches.

Who's been a bigger disappointment Mahle or Castillo?

Mahle's velocity seems down. He is working 89-91 with his fastball.

Tyler up over 70 pitches with 2 outs in the third.

I think every starting pitcher had given up 20 home runs thus year! Awful and Mahle left off where he ended!

It's a tie! Both have been very inconsistent! I'd probably if I had to choose it would be Mahle.

Austin Hedges, isn't he the brother of designer cigarette Benson?

Mahle’s stuff seems quite diminished from earlier this season. Is he injured, or fatigued, or is there a mechanical problem? Something is obviously different.

I’m no great Lucas Sims fan, but his stuff seems better than Mahle’s today.

Edit: Sims not very effective either, 434 foot homer hit against him. What a pitching staff, hard to believe, really.

Mahle is out after 3 innings. That didn't work out so well. Lucas Sims is on.

Good thing they took Homer out of the rotation. Glad to see the Reds scoring runs now that he's no longer pitching.

    We’ve uncovered Homer’s RZ account.
