I'm ok with the Padres coming to Amarillo. They have history here and the ballpark is going to be nice. It's in the downtown area which is undergoing a revitalization. Lot's of places to eat, a few hotels. More going up, and stores are trickling in too. I'm hoping to get on as a camera operator for home games for foxsports SW. Easy way to make some extra money.

It seems that the Reds are out in Pensacola. And Bill Vilona of the Pensacola News Journal seems pretty confident they are heading to Chattanooga. I've reached out to the Reds for comment on that, but it's been all of five minutes, so I'm not surprised that I have not heard back yet.

I've been contemplating a summer road trip out to Chattanooga for a few years, through the Shenandoah. There's some very cool biking along the way. This would move it up the priority list.

There's a pretty nice acquarium almost directly next to the stadium, too, if you're into that kind of thing.

Kind of bummed I never made it to Pensacola while the Reds were there, those pictures of the stadium always looked great.

But I can’t say I could imagine a scenario for that which wasn’t simply flying to Pensacola to see a game. The odds of me coincidentally being in the Chattanooga area and able to catch a game are probably higher.

When I'm visiting Florida and hitting up the beach there it's almost certainly because I'm seeing my parents down in Palm Beach, not exactly a stone's toss from Pensacola.

I would like to check out Destin at some point though.
